
Profiles: Dione Lopes
DIONE LOPES
Dione Lopes is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She began her dancing career as a young girl at the Bella Bartok School of Dance and Music. Later, she began with the Masters Program at the Amadeus Institute of Musical Arts specializing in choreography, while simultaneously pursuing an instructors degree in ballet dance. She completed the Masters degree in the ballet program, which consisted of a nine year
curriculum designed to orient the primary female dancer and chief, ranked as Prima Ballerina. The formal and methodical approach to the art of classical dance was taught using technical and artistic aspects, as well as utilizing comprehensive training programs which provide dancers with all the skills necessary to perform the ballets of the classical repertoire.
Dione was a founding member of the Stellian Ballet Dance Studio as well as her very own Dione Lopes Dance Studio, which was very successful with its many dance productions throughout the state of São Paulo. The Dance Studio specialized in a variety of dance styles including classical, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, brazilian, latin, hip-hop, belly dancing, ballroom dancing, stretching and flexibility.
