Classes

BALLET​

The classical dance of ballet is a type of dance that combines grace, a number of techniques and specific movements and gestures.  Students typically learn ballet terminology and the pronunciation, meaning, and precise graceful body form and movement associated with each term. Emphasis is placed on strengthening the legs and body core (the center, or abdominals) as a strong core is required for many ballet movements (especially turns), and on developing flexibility and strengthening legs and feet.

CONTEMPORARY​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Contemporary dance is an expressive type of dance drawing from ballet, jazz and modern techniques. This class focuses on dance performance and students will work to develop a relationship between their dancing and the music, and to expand their emotional commitment to dance.

 

 

 

JAZZ

Jazz technique is based on the natural movement of the body and is designed to increase body control and coordination. Routines are set to modern and contemporary music.

 

 

PRENATAL WORKOUT

This workout is designed to improve your physical and mental sense of well being during your pregnancy. Stretching and strengthening improves muscle tone and aids in building stamina. Emphasis on the core and the pelvic floor helps provide for an easier labor and delivery.

 

 

HIP-HOP / STREET​​​​

Inspired by street dance styles, this upbeat class combines high energy hip hop moves, jazz technique and playful choreography that encourages dancers to develop their coordination, rhythm, flexibility and self-expression. 

TAP DANCING​

This workout is a rhythmical dance, generally choreographed with one or more participating dancers. A tapping sound in a particular tempo is attained by the dancer from the small metal plates on their shoes. It is in this way that the dancer also becomes a percussive musician. Tap can also be performed in the ‘soft-shoe’ form, which is a style that is performed in soft-soled shoes without metal taps. The nature of the tapping in this style of Tap is more leisurely and smooth, and there is generally an element of humour within the dance routines.

COMPLETE WORKOUT

With stretching and toning, this workout class focuses on a total body sculpting combining low impact muscle conditioning with high energy cardio segments, creating both muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance for an all-over body workout.  Relax by stretching out all the major muscle groups while improving circulation, stress-reduction and relaxation for the body and mind. 

 

 

BALLROOM DANCE​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Ballroom dancing is a world of class, tradition, and passion.  Our dances include Waltz, Foxtrot, Argentinean Tango, Rumba, Samba, Swing, Cha-Cha and Salsa.  Non traditional consist of any other type of dance you would like.  Our dance instructors teach at your own pace in a unique and comfortable setting.

 

 

BABY & ME CLASSES​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Experience the world of music and dance with your child through song, rhythm, and movement that will forever give you a memory to cherish. These classes are structured to stimulate coordination skills, listening skills, balance, music interpretation, creative movement and motor development in the youngest dancers, preparing them for the dance of Ballet.

SPECIAL NEEDS CLASSES

Students may have a disability but they also have so much ability!  Classes are developed for the specific needs of students with Autism, Downs Syndrome and other developmental delays. We are dedicated to enrich the lives of these studetns so that they can achieve new possibilities previously unimaginable. This fun and energetic class introduces basic movement skills, ballet, jazz and creativity, with songs and games which allow for self-expression.
We choreograph dance sequences to music likely to appeal and motivate. With firm but good-humored discipline, patience and -above all- total empathy the pupils' attention is held as they listen, remember and gradually connect one movement with another to gain ultimate mastery of he dance.
Classes thus become profound learning experiences. Positive change – physical, intellectual and social – follows.

CARDIO CLASSES

This fun and easy to follow cardio dance class combines high-energy and motivating Latin music with unique moves and combinations that make you feel like you are partying on the dance floor. Easy to follow, and something everyone can do - this class is the best way to "dance away your worries". 

 

 

WEDDING DANCE​​​​

We offer an excellent wedding dance program that makes dancing comfortable for beginners to advanced levels.  Whether you want a traditional wedding dance or a non traditional "guest surprise dance" we got it here.  We also choreograph wedding dances upon request.

 

 

BIRTHDAY PARTIES​​​​​​​​​​

We offer the private birthday parties in our studio.  The perfect way to celebrate your child's birthday!  Costumes, props, dancing, crafts, music, and make-believe will give your child an enchanting and magical birthday that they will never forget!
